Christian Demarta

Christian Demarta, still being laid in a wicker basket on the quiet banks of the Verbano.

Due to his natural inclination to go against the tide, he travelled up the Ticino River to the turreted capital city of Bellinzona, where he attended the city's high school and graduated from high school. He then enrolled at the CSIA, learned the trade of graphic designer/illustrator and set up his own studio in the charming village of Sementina.

It has not yet been ascertained whether this is entirely to his credit or whether the village was already laughing before Demarta settled there.

He collaborated with the satirical magazine 'Il Diavolo', among other things giving birth to the couple Gonzo and Stono, whose adventures were collected in a volume with the surprising title The Adventures of Gonzo and Stono.
