I am Woodrow Harris, known artistically as Woody.

Originally from the UK, I have lived in Ticino with my wife for almost thirty years. My background is in technology, specialising in automation, but I am now enjoying retirement.
For about a decade now, I have been passionately dedicated to woodworking, particularly woodturning, which I practice at an amateur level in my cosy workshop in Iseo.

After attending several stages on modelling techniques, glaze preparation and
firing methods, in the 1990s I specialised in the art of turning by attending
ceramist Ueli Wengen's atelier for a couple of years.

The practice of ceramics has become more and more intense over the years, so much so that I decide
to buy a lathe and oven and make it my profession.

In my workshop I am constantly experimenting with new shapes on the lathe or modelling them by hand,
often using stoneware, which I prefer for its hardness and stony appearance.
New glazes, new firing methods (Raku, wood firing) and special surface preparations make this profession for me a real passion that moves and changes at the pace of new
discoveries.

We have been growing Curio flax for 6 years on a rented field of approx. m2 . 120.
We grow flax using natural methods and in total harmony with nature. We harvest it and process the fibre on hand looms used by professional and semi-professional weavers who create a whole range of high quality fabrics of eternal durability and beauty.

In the ideal of transmitting ancient knowledge regarding cultivation in its various phases and equally of perpetuating a textile craftsmanship that respects ecology and the environment so as to enhance the value of those who use our artefacts.

In 1985, she started to create her first dresses: they are one-off garments, made without cutting work and composed of simple rectangular cloths woven and sewn by herself.
Through constant research and continuous training, Anne De Haas has gradually defined a personal poetics, which can be summed up in the concept of 'art to wear', capable of fully expressing the character of the person wearing her garments.
After all, the linearity of the starting element, the wool and/or silk cloth, is transmitted almost by enchantment to the structure of the clothes, which, while maintaining extremely beautiful essential traits, modulate softly and elegantly on the bodies.

My passion for ecology and respect for nature are part of my principles, which have a profound influence on my production, which relies on natural and, within the realm of possibility, organic ingredients.

The working method is old-fashioned and simple: it starts with the search for seasonal fruit (taken from the garden of acquaintances or farmers in the Malcantonese area), organic cane sugar is added, and finally a touch of 'sixth sense' for bold and curious creations.

Antoine Déprez was born in Lille, France in 1978.

In 2002, he moved to Lugano where he works as an illustrator in various fields: in children's publishing, for the press,
advertising. In canto he works as a painter producing personal works.
He teaches illustration at SUPSI in the visual communication bacelor.
Since 2016, he has been living and working in the core of Novaggio.

My name is Aline and I live in Sessa. Only after travelling the world did I decide to return to Switzerland, choosing the most beautiful place of all those I visited: the Malcantone.
Alongside my work as a teacher, I always find time to devote myself to the production of homemade products such as preserves, fermented products, wild plant harvesting, tinctures, ointments, conditioners, soaps and shampoos.
The 2020 lockdown caused by the pandemic reinforced my desire to be more self-sufficient and to appreciate all the ingredients that nature offers us. At that time, I started experimenting with cocoa butter and its delicate crystallisation, leading to my own recipe for a handmade chocolate that contains no sugar, apart from that naturally present in honey and barley malt.
What I particularly love is the creative part when I add the final ingredients to the still warm chocolate on the
work plan: edible flowers, lavender, meadow queen, rosemary and salt, chilli, nettle, mint, liquorice, hemp or sesame seeds, ... and I am always open to new experiments.
